1851 Census
This is the first detailed census of Finmere. It has been transcribed from microfiche in the Centre for Oxfordshire Studies. Note that the parish is initially incorrectly entered as in Northamptonshire. Finmere was in the Registrar District of Brackley in Northamptonshire but remained in Oxfordshire.The Enumerator was Robert Greaves of the Kings Head. This census is also important as it catalogues the village close to the end of Rector William Jocelyn Palmer's dominance of the village.Please note that the following pages are large and complex and may take a while to load:
